VIA and Polar! shoots, Manchester

Just as I finished for Christmas, an urgent call came in from an advertising agency in the West Midlands. Could I shoot some architectural interiors and features of two bars in Manchester? No problem I thought; it would make a welcome change to my 'Saturday Job'. VIA and (the private members') Polar! bars in Manchester's Canal Street had just undergone refurbishment, with new decor, lighting, seating - the works.

These images will feature in the new websites and promotional material for the two bars. Shot using a set of fast prime lenses, these images use the natural ambient lighting, mixed with a small amount of flash to slightly boost otherwise heavy shadow areas.
