Nicky and Martin were married recently at Manchester Town Hall. Theirs was a 'proper' urban wedding with the reception at Stock restaurant...with a detour to Castlefield for some stylish and industrial portraits....including my favourite wall!
These are some of my favourites from the day...
Nicky told me that she used to smile like this for her dad when being photographed as a little girl. She also mentioned that this shot wouldn't make the edit shortlist. Yeah...right! x
Hi Mick,
Thanks for these – they’re fantastic! Really pleased with them, and as promised we hardly knew you were there all day. You were a total pleasure, apart from maybe the getting ready bit – see the one of me scowling even made it onto your blog!
I’ll circulate to everyone and I think when we’ve had chance to look through a couple more times we’ll want a couple of large prints for me & Martin at home.
Thanks again

Martin laughed all day. Yes really. He bit his lip during the 20 min ceremony and then carried on laughing...all day.
Stock restaurant is a beautiful venue for a wedding - and really sorts out the experienced low-light photographers out there. It's scarily dark, and the temptation to use/need flash is overpowering...but I wasn't going to be beaten! For the photographers out there, we're talking 6400 ISO territory here...but I love a challenge.
