Rebecca & Dave were married at Peckforton Castle, a venue which really dictates an early night beforehand for us wedding photographers. It's a lovely, romantic candle-lit venue..but boy is it dark...especially on a grey November day! But dark means atmospheric, and to us photographers who specialise in low-light shooting, it's a creative challenge to get the best from the venue and the working conditions.
Rebecca & Dave's brief to me was to go do my own thing; their day was especially to be natural, with no formalities dominating the day's proceedings. Just how we like it.
Here's some of my favourites from the day...
After the ceremony, we were ushered down into the belly of the castle, to the Hexagonal Room for canapes. It was so dark in there, I just had to pray that the Nikons had been graced with an earlier night than I. They had, thankfully...

Then it was outside for our standard fifteen minutes' of lightly directed portraits. Still no rain, but it was a typically grey November day...
